Slow Throughput – Online Course

Length: 2hr 10min, 26 Lectures

📝 Redefining Value in Business

I am challenging the ‚quick throughput‘ of current economic models—defined by rapid resource extraction, manufacturing, and disposal—in favor of a more regenerative, value-centric rhythm. My mission is to help you recalibrate how you approach work and economics.

Let’s get past the common focus on ‚circular economy‘ talk that neglects fundamental economic structures and opposes the reliance on infinite growth and ‚end-of-pipe‘ waste solutions. Instead, I draw on the work of ‚forgotten heretics‘ of economics—such as Kenneth Boulding, Herman Daly, and Frederick Soddy—to argue that we must view nature as a finite provider and treat resources as ‚accounts payable‘ rather than ‚accounts receivable.‘

My approach advocates for a cadence where:

  • Resources are deeply valued and designed for longevity.
  • Consumption is a conscious act rather than a reflex.
  • Growth is redefined not by speed, but by effectiveness, autonomy, and the ability to thrive within natural limits.

Through my educational offerings, I guide managers and changemakers in:

  • Developing ‚regenerative supply chains‘ that focus on real-world impact rather than just linear, idealistic diagrams.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous learning and experimentation.
  • Navigating the complexities of supply chain management through reflection, breakout discussions, and practical, hands-on learning.

My goal is to shift your focus from ‚doing it right‘ to ‚doing it real,‘ empowering you to reclaim your autonomy and actively design an economy that truly thrives.
